The Second Council of the Second Session of the Electronic Chemical New Materials Industry Alliance was held online
Time:2022-09-04
In 2021, the development of China's new chemical industry will achieve rapid development and overall capacity improvement driven by the growth of semiconductor, new display and other downstream application markets. The Secretariat of the New Chemical Industry Alliance will actively carry out industry services under the new situation of epidemic prevention and control. In order to summarize the work in 2021 and exchange the work plan for 2022, The second session of the second council of the Alliance was held online in the morning of April 14, 2022 by video.
The meeting was chaired by Lu Jin, Secretary General of the Alliance. The conference specially invited Dr. Yu Shan, a member of the expert committee of China Semiconductor Industry Association, to give an industry and theme report entitled "2021 Integrated Circuit Market Review and 2022 Outlook", and Geng Yi, Deputy Secretary General of China OLED Industry Alliance, gave an industry and theme report entitled "Analysis of the Development of AMOLED Industry".
Dr. Yu Shan pointed out in his report that since 2021, the global semiconductor industry has witnessed the largest expansion in history. The annual capital expenditure of chip manufacturers exceeded 140 billion dollars. In 2021, the global semiconductor manufacturers will build 19 new wafer factories, and in 2022, another 10 will be built. China's IC manufacturing has entered an important strategic expansion period. In the next decade, wafer foundry will grow significantly, and the development of China's IC materials has entered a golden age.
Deputy Secretary General Geng Yi pointed out in the report that the integrated industrial system of rapid response from upstream to downstream is an important support for the rapid development of China's new display industry. Terminal products such as mobile phones and smartphones have driven the demand for OLED panels, and the rapid development of panel enterprises has promoted the construction of the upstream industrial chain. However, at present, the upstream and downstream are competing homogeneously at the low end, the upstream and downstream cooperation is not smooth, the foundation of "upstream" is weak, and the procurement source is more single. It is suggested to speed up talent development, strengthen international exchanges, concentrate high-end manufacturing links in urban clusters, and strengthen collaborative innovation between upstream and downstream.
The Secretariat reported to the General Assembly the work summary of the Alliance in 2021 and its work outlook in 2022. Under the leadership of the Council and the active care and support of the leaders of the Department of Raw Materials of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the work of the Alliance has been actively participated in and coordinated by member units. Since its establishment, the Secretariat of the Alliance has actively worked hard to carry out a lot of work, making great progress in the work of the Alliance.
Since 2022, the complex and severe economic situation at home and abroad, as well as repeated outbreaks in various regions, have caused significant obstacles to domestic logistics, and the supply chain is not smooth upstream and downstream. In the first quarter, affected by the rising prices of raw materials and logistics costs, the enterprises in China's new electronic chemical materials industry faced greater development pressure and decreased profit margins; The production and operation of enterprises are faced with many difficulties and challenges, and the profits of enterprises face the risk of further decline.
For the next step of work, the representatives present at the meeting also made suggestions, which provided a good reference for the future work direction of the Alliance Secretariat. The secretariat of the Alliance said that it would continue to review the situation under the leadership of the Council and under the guidance of government departments, actively seek new ways to carry out in-depth service work of the Alliance, do a good job of government support, serve members of the Alliance, promote cross industry resource sharing of the Alliance, and promote industrial development. The main objectives of the Alliance continue to be to coordinate new chemical materials and their upstream and downstream industrial resources, guide new chemical materials enterprises and downstream electronic information industries to carry out in-depth cooperation, promote the combination of production, teaching, research and use, build a public platform for information sharing, technical cooperation, application demonstration and market development, and promote the innovative integration and development of electronic chemical materials and downstream new application technologies.
The chairman unit, vice chairman unit, executive director unit and each director unit of the Alliance mainly participated in the meeting.
